Tijdens zijn studie specialiseerde hij zich in Zuivel, Brouwen &amp; Dranken, Waterbehandeling en Management. Na zijn opleiding is hij sinds 1976 actief in de voedings- en drankensector. Hij begon zijn loopbaan in verschillende managementfuncties in de zuivelindustrie. Daarna vervolgde hij zijn carri\u00e8re in functies op het gebied van technische ondersteuning en accountmanagement bij Lever Industrial, Diversey en Ecolab. Sinds 2017 werkt hij als zelfstandig consultant voor de mondiale voedings- en drankensector. Medeoprichter en lid van het Uitvoerend Comit\u00e9 van de Black Sea Association of Food Science and Technology (B-FoST); ambassadeur en auditor van het Global Harmonization Initiative (GHI) voor Macedoni\u00eb; voormalig voorzitter van de Macedonische Regionale Afdeling van de European Hygienic Engineering Design Group (EHEDG) en lid van de EHEDG Trainingssubgroep. Hij heeft talrijke wetenschappelijke artikelen gepubliceerd in peer-reviewed tijdschriften en is auteur, medeauteur, redacteur en\/of bijdrager van boeken over voedselkwaliteit en -veiligheid, voedingshygi\u00ebne en voedseltechnologie\u00ebn (waaronder de Encyclopaedia of Food Safety en het eerste Europese Woordenboek van Termen in Voedselkwaliteit en -veiligheid, erkend door de EU). Hij is ook initiatiefnemer en eerste president (nu President-Emeritus) van het Global Harmonization Initiative (GHI). Bij Unilever was hij verantwoordelijk voor hygi\u00ebnische verwerking, fabriekontwerp en nieuwe verwerkingstechnologie\u00ebn. Hij heeft vele boeken geredigeerd en mede-geredigeerd over voedselhygi\u00ebne, voedselveiligheid en voedselverwerkingstechnologie\u00ebn, met titels als &#8216;Hygiene in food processing&#8217; en &#8216;Principles and Practice of Food Safety Management, A Practical Guide for the Food Industry&#8217;. Tijdens haar studie nam zij ook deel aan de uitgebreide cursus &#8216;Voedsel- en voedingszekerheid in ontwikkelingslanden&#8217; van de Universiteit Wageningen, waarbij zij samen met deelnemers van over de hele wereld leerde hoe zij programma&#8217;s voor voedingszekerheid konden ontwikkelen met zowel een bottom-up als top-down aanpak.<\/p>\n<p>Isabella werkte tien jaar bij FrieslandCampina, waar zij betrokken was bij kwaliteitsbeheer in de toeleveringsketen als hoofdauditor van grondstoffen- en verpakkingsleveranciers en derden. Bij FrieslandCampina Research and Development was zij betrokken bij specificatiebeheer en validatie van grondstoffen voor zuigelingenvoeding. Zij beheerde ook diverse wereldwijde transformatieprojecten met betrekking tot het gebruik van grondstoffen in gespecialiseerde zuigelingenvoeding, inclusief uitgebreide grondstofvalidatie voor business-to-business-klanten en business-to-consumer-producten.
